Acer Aspire One 531 Netbook - Review (Mini-Laptop)

I know we are a little bit late in reviewing specifically Acer's netbooks in this site - we only gave you guys a general review about the Acer Netbook line. But you have to understand that we also want to show the best products you can find in the market. The Asus Eeepc 1005 HA, the Netbook Dell Mini 10 and the Samsung N120 are all as great computers as the Acer Aspire One models - you just need to find which on fits you best. Today, we will speak about a great Acer model, but i believe it is not the most popular one: i am talking about the Acer Aspire One 531.

It is pretty easy to see why this particular model is well-seen by us. It has, as the Asus Netbook and the Samsung Netbook, an exceptional battery life. As the time goes, all companies are trying to produce netbooks that can be used for a very long time as this is a quality that has been attracting a large amount of consumers - and we can easily figure out why, of course. But the Acer Aspire One 531 has other great qualities as its feather light weight and sleek dimensions and the fact that it works very well with the new Windows 7 - something, for instance, that a netbook like Asus Eeepc 1005 HA could have problem doing.

Design (and Portability)

Acer has always emphasised on usability and functionality of netbooks. There is no reason in having a laptop with amazing features if it is too complicated to carry, right? That is why this particular model (the Acer Aspire One 531) comes wrapped up in a slim shiny red chassis, this way you will have no trouble carrying it everytime and everywhere.

Battery Life

As does the Asus Eeepc 1005 HA, this Acer Netbook also carries a 6 cell batteries that allows you to use it for more than 7 hours straight. It is interesting to notice though that inspite of having a stantard battery the Aspire One 531 still manages to be very light - its weight is not more than 1kg which is simply fantastic and shows the expertise put in by Acer to innovate this state-of-the-art machine

Processor

In order to enhance battery life and to make Acer Aspire One 531 affordable, Acer has used the energy-efficient Intel Atom N270 processor backed by 1GB RAM which is extendable up to 2GB. The Intel Atom N270 is renowned for its capability of generating less noise as well as heat. You would hardly observe the chassis being warmed up after long hours of continuous operation. Though, you won’t be able to play memory-intensive games or edit HD videos on Acer Aspire 531 but you can perform your basic editing tasks on word, enjoy internet browsing, listen to music and do much more efficiently. You can even throw multiple applications on it and it would execute all your instructions nicely.

Display Screen

Acer Aspire One 531 Net book has a 10.1-Inches WSVGA screen which produces bright colour contrast and sharp images.
